Lightening the Load...AGAIN !!!

Although the weight load should not have been an issue for my rig, I found it to be a real issue for me. I had brought just WAY TOO MUCH STUFF. If you've read some of my previous blog posts, I've talked a lot about simplifying, but WOW, what an emotional issue it has been for me.

A pervading and recurring theme in my life has always been a desperate need for security. In some ways I have found security in "stuff". And being a classic "girl", I REALLY wanted to drag everything I possibly could across the country with me: to be comfortable; to be safe; to be heavily laden. Whatever, it was just too much.

So...once again I find myself paring down on the stuff. I've gone through every bag and tried to cut the amount in each bag by 50%. (Remember the shoes? 3 pairs now rather than 6). This exercise has been both fearful and freeing, equally. But I'm doing it. It increases the "trust" quotient.

And, I think it will make Reggie a little happier.
