Follow Your Heart

 

For every ending,

There's a new beginning -

A chance to set new goals,

To dream new dreams,

To rekindle the hope in our hearts.

For endings are a way

Of rediscovering ourselves -

Of learning who we are

And what we need in life,

Of finding out where we want to go.

And who we want to be.

 

The choice is yours -

You can set out on a new adventure,

Respond to a new opportunity,

Or you can say "no" to something

You're just not ready for.

I think I'm on the other side now. The side where I see the positive of coming back home. My perspective is more wise and clear. Not fully wise or clear - just more so. I'm planning the walk again. I can't tell you the specifics because I don't know the specifics, but the plan is in motion. It may be a few months because I have to straighten up some messes here, financial messes as well as allow my shoulder to heal from the damage I did to it on that last day that I walked pushing 200 pounds. 

 

I am so very grateful for every step I traveled and for the unearthing that occurred from deep within me. A walk of this magnitude cannot be undertaken lightly but yet must be undertaken lightly. I focused so much on equipment and logistics that I missed some of the heart of the thing. Next time I'm just following my heart.
